A 10,999-acre area of sheer granite spires rising to 7,200 feet, steep canyons, and five small alpine lakes near Mount Shasta. Hikers use 27.8 miles of trails, including 19 miles of Pacific Crest Trail, though the crumbly granite spires themselves remain unclimbed by trail.
