Strenuous out-and-back on an unmarked dirt ridgeline in the Black Mountains, with rolling climbs, a long downhill, and a steep push past false summits to Mount Perry's true summit (5,739 ft). Rewards route-finding effort with the "widest panorama in Death Valley," reaching as far as the Sierra Nevada.
