A 104,048-acre Sierra Nevada wilderness where the Mokelumne River carves rugged canyons between 4,000 and over 10,000 feet, near Round Top and Mokelumne Peaks. Trails including 20 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail draw moderate use near Carson Pass lakes, with solitude elsewhere.
