A 4,410-acre Army Corps reservoir on the Calaveras River in the Gold Country foothills. Acorn Campground has 128 sites with showers and Oak Knoll another 49, and the lake fishes for striped and black bass, catfish, crappie and bluegill; the River of Skulls trail runs from the Monte Vista area.
