A 101,574-acre high-elevation wilderness in the San Bernardino Mountains centered on 11,502-foot San Gorgonio Mountain, Southern California's tallest peak, with forested slopes, meadows, and two small lakes. Over 100 miles of trails, including 20 miles of Pacific Crest Trail, draw hikers to see bear, deer, and bighorn sheep.
